Dillsboro
A mile west of Sylva lies the small town of Dillsboro. Originally called New Webster, Dillsboro was named after the town’s founder, William Allen Dills, in 1889.
With just over 200 residents, Dillsboro is known for being the starting point of the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. Because of this, Dillsboro offers a variety of unique shops, restaurants, inns and cottages for its visitors.
