TOM ANSPACH
“Exceeding Expectations is What He Does Best!”
The phrase “I have miles to go before I sleep” might have been the motto of a young Tom Anspach who, at age 17 left his hometown of Largo Florida, to join the military to travel and see the world. And he did exactly that, with a twenty-year career in the Air Force where he pursued a career in the hospitals clinical engineering department.
After retiring from a 20-year career in the military at age 38, he and his wife, who is a physician’s assistant he met while in the military, and their three boys made their move. They came home to their beloved western North Carolina, to Canton where they live about 2 miles from where his wife and her father both grew up.
Having experienced many career moves all over the U.S., Germany and South Korea, Tom can definitely relate to families relocating to new areas, including with children and pets. He also knows what it takes to close a transaction and the importance of completing a move in a timely, efficient manner.
Along with his career adventures Tom also pursued his thirst for educational ventures at the same time. He earned an AAS in Biomedical Equipment Technology from the U.S. Air Force Community College. He also earned a double masters degree from Webster University, consisting of an MA in Computer Resource and Database Management and an MBA in Business Administration as well as a BS in Electronics Management from Southern Illinois University.
Tom and his wife’s family’s histories in North Carolina both date back to the 1700’s and his children attend the same school that their grandparents
attended. Together, their family is happy to be able to create their own family history in this beautiful part of the world. They enjoy family, hiking, cycling, camping, skiing, soccer, fishing, and canoeing. They exemplify the old family values, integrity and trust of their forbearers that sometimes seem rare in today’s world.
Giving back to the world in which he lives, Tom volunteers on a regular basis repairing and calibrating biomedical equipment with mediquip to send to hospitals and clinics in third world countries; mainly in Central America.
Tom’s quiet, unassuming and relaxed demeanor belies all of his life’s accomplishments. His objective is simply to help you accomplish your objectives in your real estate pursuits.
