Margaret received her Brokers license in 1997 and specializes in residential sales, including land, lots and new home construction.  She is an experienced Broker and prides herself in her real estate ethics and professionalism.  She also has an Accredited Buyers Representative designation. Margaret has been a multi-million dollar producer since she started her real estate career in 1997.

Having lived in Charlotte, NC for 10 years, the move to the mountains of western North Carolina in 1994 was an easy transition for Margaret and her family.  Her older son was away at college in Minnesota but has now moved to Hendersonville and works as a kitchen designer and is part owner of Factory Direct Cabinets.  Her younger son was in high school at the time of their move and has now graduated UNC.  He lives in Georgia and has a degree in Computer Science.  Sammy, their Cocker Spaniel, is happy to be the center of their attention.  James, her husband, and Margaret are “empty nesters.”

When Margaret and James relocated to Hendersonville, they each started new careers.  James had held executive positions since graduating from Auburn University in 1972 with a degree in Business.  Margaret attended Columbus State University.  While living in Charlotte, they owned an industrial scale business where Margaret managed the Accounting Department.  Having lived in Ohio as well as Minnesota, Margaret has experienced the stress of moving to a new location and settling in quickly.  Today, James is a licensed residential and commercial contractor and has a wonderful reputation as a custom home builder concentrating mostly in the Flat Rock and Laurel Park areas of Henderson County. 

Serving on various committees in Hendersonville including the Hendersonville Real Estate Board of Professional Standards, First Baptist Church and is President of the Blue Ridge Community College Educational Foundation is both rewarding and challenging.  As a Realtor with Beverly Hanks and Associates, one of the ten largest real estate companies in North Carolina, she regularly attends seminars and training classes to stay abreast of changes as they occur.
