     I was born and raised in Louisiana and my wife grew up in southern California.  You’re probably wondering, “how in the world did you two get together?”  I was studying to become an architect at Louisiana Tech while my wife was moving from California to enroll at Auburn.  After surrendering to calculus, I changed my major to Business and graduated with a B.S. in Business and Economics.  The next day I moved to Florida and began my banking career where I met my future wife who had moved to Jacksonville months earlier.  We enjoyed living in Florida for many years, but yearned to make a move to a four seasons climate.

     While vacationing in the mountains of Western North Carolina, my wife and I decided that someday we were going to live in these mountains that had captured our hearts.  We just didn’t think that it would take twenty-four years to complete the move.  Because we both owned small businesses in Florida, it made it difficult for us to just pack up and move.

      After the youngest of our four children graduated from college, we were able to begin our dream of moving to the mountains.  Like so many of our friends, we had found the perfect land years before, but were not in a position to begin construction of our mountain home until our children’s education was completed.  Even though it has been over seven years now since our move, we still get excited every time we drive down the driveway to our “mountain home”.  Yes, our lifestyle has changed, but we know that it has improved.  There is no better way to start your mornings than sitting on your deck with coffee mug in hand surrounded by nature and the mountains.

      It just seemed a natural fit that I would pursue a career in real estate where I could share my love and excitement for mountain property with other people who were now following in my footsteps.  I could relate to their fears, questions and confusion because I had already experienced what they were presently going through.  After listening to several people in the real estate sector, I quickly realized that Beverly-Hanks was the place that would better enable me to assist people in their search for their “dream home”.  After almost seven years working in the real estate market, I know I made the right choice.  I look forward to meeting new friends every day because I have a great story to share with them.
